Some of the "action" cards we drew were unbelievable. Quelf is like a combo between a role playing game and a regular board game. Oh my gosh, we had the best time with it. Playing this game with my crazy family was hilarious. Have any of you ever played Quelf? Any of you ever play with a group of crazy Italians? We take it to a whole new level!
PS: Sorry if I haven't responded to comments and/or dropped many on your blogs, I'm having some computer drama. I have no idea what's going on, but I have a call into
Sorry you're having computer issues.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoy board games as well. We'll have to get that one.
Still not quite sure what's wrong. My tech support is away on business :(
DeleteWe love board games here at my family. I've got one for you Qwirkle, not exactly a board game either but a whole lot o fun.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the computer drama. It's the same here, but mine is definitely dying. I'm trying desperately to get the important stuff backed up on flash drives while keeping up my editing schedule. Sheesh!
Oh, I'll have to check Qwirkle out. We are always hunting around for new games.
DeleteI need to do a whole lot of back-up too. I'm hoping to do it this weekend. We'll see if I have enough time.
I love board games. My brothers and I play them whenever we have a chance, which is not often. But those little chances are a blast! Hope you get your computer fixed soon
ReplyDeleteThe company you play with, I think, has a lot to do with the amount of fun that goes into playing. My family is nuts- therefore it takes that game to a whole new level of fun!
DeleteNever heard of this game so I will have to check it out. I had computer problems last week so I understand how you feel, I am my own geek squad and I'm not very good.

Hi Ann! I am barely computer literate; I'm lucky I can operate my own blog. I can figure out nothing by myself. I always defer to my brother, who works in IT. Thank God!!
DeleteStupid computers...I've been wanting to run mine over with the car for a few weeks now, but my husband refuses to get me a new one. So I'm suffering through it.
ReplyDeleteI have never played that game and now will be giving it a shot. We are HUGE on board games here and usually play Apples to Apples because it causes a ton of laughter around the table. Thanks for the tip on a new game =)
Ah- Apples to Apples! I can it from where I'm sitting here typing this. That game is a fav of ours too. The last time we played, my kids made my sister laugh so hard she peed her pants! :)
DeleteI have a love/hate of computers. I know they make my life much, much easier to work on, but I hate trying to figure out what's wrong! I'm sure it's something I did.
I've never heard of Quelf, but I can tell you this is something my family would love! My wife and I usually play Munchkin (card game), but we love board games too :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you can get your comp fixed or, at least, make it more agreeable.
Have a great weekend!
MUNCHKIN! My daughter and I played that at a con and just recently picked it up to play at home. Fun stuff!
DeleteI haven't heard about Quelf though. May have to check that out as well.
Hi from Nagzilla bloghopping A to Z
Hey Mark and Nagzilla- I will have to pick up Munchkin with both of you endorsing it. Sounds like fun!
DeleteHere's hoping my brother can help me fix it. It's driving me nuts and making it very difficult to get my posts done and/or comment. Grrr!
This one looks good. Is it kind of like Curses? My kids love that game.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what Curses is like, but Quelf has action cards that require role playing and are like the "dare" in truth or dare. My brother's card said he had to put ice down his pants until he could roll a six on the dice or move back ten spaces. He took the challenge of course and his whole butt was soaking wet by the time he was done! Then, I wouldn't let him anywhere near my dining room chair without a towel to sit on; we were hysterical the whole time. I thought my kids were going to burst from laughing so hard!!
DeleteI've never heard of it. Definitely need to check it out!
ReplyDeleteIt is a hoot!
DeleteQuelf? That is a new name for me; will look it up.
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun! Can't recommend it enough.
DeleteNever heard of it but games are fun to play.
ReplyDeleteIf you like board games it's a good one to have. :)
DeleteI bought that for my son for Christmas, but we've not yet had time to play it.
ReplyDeleteGAH! Tonight, grab a pizza and your kids and play it! Your boys will probably go nuts laughing. I know my girls went wild.
Deletenever heard of it
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun Adam. Especially if you play with crazy people. :)
DeleteI've never heard of this game! It sounds like a ton of fun though :)
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! Play it at college. It will go over real big there.
DeleteI haven't ever heard of that one. My family loves to play board games at the holidays, and it's so fun. Some of the best laughs I ever had was playing games with them. We use to play pictionary charades...oh my gosh, so funny!
ReplyDeleteWe always play after we eat. Well, we eat play. Eat while playing. Eat after playing. You know how that goes. But it's something we always have fun doing. Quelf is great. A real action type game.
DeleteNever heard of this before now. Sounds like it might be fun to check into it.
ReplyDeleteIf you like board games, check it out. SO FUN.
DeleteQuelf is one of our favorite games to play when we get our friends together for a game night. Especially after some wine gets thrown in the mix. :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! My new favorite for sure Trish!!
