I Survived the Sleepover!

Good Morning everybody!  How was your weekend? Mine was crazy, as predicted. But, I did it! I  survived the sleep over party. It wasn't easy for me, but it was well worth it to see Faith, her sisters and all of her best girlfriends laughing so hard and having tons of fun. Man, do I wish I had their kind of energy! Because at 2:30 am, when the girls just started to Wobble, I had to sit down-because the room had already started to wobble on it's own! What's a Wobble? Check it out:

Now normally, I love to Wobble. And I would jump right in  with the girls. But at that point in the evening, I was so exhausted I just flat out ran out of steam. I think the girls finally crashed somewhere around 4:00. (But that didn't stop them from waking up at 7:00 all recharged and ready to go!) Meanwhile, it's two days later...and I'm still exhausted! Ha.

Here are some pictures that help tell the tale of our epic night:

Mustache glasses for everyone.

Each girl started the night by painting their own t-shirt

We played LOTS of games. Quelf, Spin Tasty, Sleeping Beauty, Truth or Dare

The girls really loved the ice cream sundae bar with all the fixings
gummi bears, M&M's, Twizzlers, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups

I'm not even sure how to caption this one. LOL

Breakfast the next morning.
Note: a VERY busted Jaybird sucking back her coffee at the head of the table.

  1. Looks like loads of fun, but I'm not surprised you're still recovering! Kids have WAY too much energy!

  2. I'm not sure how to caption that one either!
Three hours of sleep and they were ready to go again? You need to bottle that energy. You'd make millions.

  3. I love an ice cream bar! Me, I would have had to have my ice cream with a side of vino and Xanax to make it through a sleepover with a bunch of teenage girls. LOL!!!!

    1. Ice cream usually works like Xanax on me. Whenever I consume a crap ton of ice cream I relax and eventually pass out. LOL

    1. LOL! You noticed my Marvel mug! I love that. I usually use that one or my gigantic Wolverine mug. Did you also notice how I am sitting upright, but my eyes are completely closed? That's no coincidence...I think I was sleeping sitting up!!!

  5. You are one brave woman! But it looks like the girls had a blast.

My oldest son is a dancer, and after a competition, all the kids will get up on stage and wobble before awards are given out. Where do they get such energy???

    1. Jay- I have no idea where kids get their energy. Most of them have full school schedules, after school schedules and they are still rearing to go. I don't ever remember being that full of energy!!

  6. I just have to laugh because we had those exact same mustache glasses at a friend's 30th birthday party recently. I know they were the same because they didn't fit our big faces and kept breaking.

Also, I can't Wobble, but I can do the Carlton like a motherf****r, and I am extremely proud of this.

  20. I miss sleep overs! They were so much fun. My boys would have "guy get-togethers" and they would stay up all night, but they mostly played video games and swarmed the food table like locusts.

    1. The girls are more into crafts, but probably eat just as much as the guys. I bought a ton of food and there is not much left. They killed it.

  22. Oh those home sleepovers are so much fun!!! But utterly exhausting, as you know. Some of my overnights with my Girl Scout troop have been tough to handle too. The camping isn't so bad, and the all night water park was a blast, but once we did a mall overnight and I swore I'd never do one again. Girls shopping and drinking coffee and dancing and watching a movie. They were supposed to fall asleep during the movie but that never happened, so as I result I never got a chance to lay down. Then I had to drive everybody the hour home. Thank God for Red Bull.
