T.G.I.F. for reals.

No, I'm not trying to pimp a mediocre restaurant. I am just over the top excited that this stinking week is finally over. Hmmm, how can I sum up the kind of week I've had? Let me put it to you this way: it was one of the worst weeks I've ever had that didn't involve an episiotomy.  Yep. I believe that sums it up nicely.

On a much more positive note, (cause I always like to look on the bright side of things), I was thrilled to find out that Kyra Lennon, from Write Here, Write Now picked me as her winner of the Imaginary Friend Blog Hop!! I was super stoked. That particular tidbit of glad tidings couldn't have come at a better time to lift my spirits. So, great big thank you Kyra! You have no idea how genuinely happy it  made me, in this week from hell, to find out I won.  Big congrats to Nick Wilford, who also won. He was co-host Annalisa Crawford's pick and had a really creative entry.  Way to go Nick!

Sooo, in light of the awesome week I just had, I am looking forward to this weekend with borderline manic elation. OK, maybe not borderline. More like main line. But you say tomatoooo, I say tomatoe. And all that fun stuff. Not quite sure what I plan on doing because I just listened to a weather report and found out we are expecting a big snow storm to hit. Brilliant.

Anyone have boss plans for this weekend? Did any of you suffer through a craptastic week like me?  Either way, feel free to jump in on my toast with Faith- T.G.I.F. for reals and cheers to this week finally being over!!

    1. Thanks Alex. Made my week to win it.

My family is never happy with what we are served at our local Friday's. It's always just "ish" We stopped going there a while ago. Right around the time my little foodie started cooking up a storm. She throws down way better than they do, any day of the week, for sure!!

Here's to a great weekend! Cheers.

    1. Oh Miss Kyra- you made my whole week. Didn't even want to get out of bed, and then I saw your post. It gave me something positive to hang on to. Thank you so much-

Tell me when your ready, and I'll send you my three chapters. (I'm currently stuck in the suck of the revision cave, so whenever you can manage, I'd be thrilled to send my stuff to you.)

    1. Aw, hi Clare- so good to see your comment. Hugs right back at you girl!! Ugh, can I just tell you how freaking awful this week was? It involved my poor health, yet another funeral to attend, the DMV, the inspection station, money I don't have, no work for me since Hurricane Sandy, a HUGE argument with The Husband (I'm still very maturely throwing him the silent treatment) and it goes on and on... winning Kyra's blog hop made me smile. I didn't think that possible this week. It came at the perfect time. I really needed something to go my way. xo

    2. Oh no, what a lot of horrible stuff to deal with. Sorry your health is poor again, and also sorry for the loss. Money sucks - I hate how it has so much power to make people unhappy. And sorry you and your husband argued, I hope you get things sorted out soon. Again, hoping this week is much better for you. XO

  5. Well, cheers to you for that crappy week being over and here's hoping you have a great weekend!

Speaking of the thing which the group "Loverboy" sang about everyone 'working for', if you're in the path of "Nemo" hunker down, bundle up, and keep safe :)

    1. Thanks Mark-

Yep, Nemo is on his merry way. He put a damper on all of my weekend plans, that's for sure. Don't worry about the Bird's Nest though, I just got back from the store with a couple of loaves of fresh hot Italian bread, milk, and coffee. All the necessities. We'll be fine...

  6. Happy Friday! This has been a long week. Why is that?? My weekend is going to be spent throwing a sleepover party for 8 girls..um...could you pass me one of those drinks please!

    1. Shoot, I might as well pass you the bottle Johanna!! I've been there, done that with the girly sleepovers. A ton of fun but just exhausting- good luck!

  7. Hey Michael! How you doing? Good to hear from ya! And yeah, in my opinoin, TGIF's kind of stink. Their menu is vast, but with nothing really great on it.

  8. My week wasn't terrible, but it crawled so so slowly. I'm so excited for the weekend as well. We've got a storm coming too, and I hope I can still play despite it all. Hope you have a great weekend.

  9. I had a busy week with a sick toddler and I'm very glad it's over. I don't drink, but I'll toast with ice cream! Mmm, ice cream. Congrats on your win! Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. I hope your son is feeling better now Christine. I'm all about the ice cream! I'd toast with some Edy's Slow Churned Rocky Road. That's my current obsession. Faith had sparkling cider in her glass, so you could have joined her in toasting with that, if you prefer LOL

  10. Aaawww...I'm sorry you had such a tough week. But the episiotomy comment (did I spell that right?) cracked me up. I have had five of them. Five! Just the fact that my episiotomy years are behind me is always something to celebrate!

Hope next year is better and congrats on winning Kyra's bloghop!!

  15. Congratulations!

    I've never been to TGIF.

I live for Friday. I'm so drained that I sleep the sleep of the dead that night.

    1. Hey Medeia- good to hear from you. Like I said to Adam above, you are not missing out on much, TGIF's isn't very good.

I only have one day a week to sleep in and that's Saturday. I always look forward to Friday night, and not having to set my alarm. But wouldn't you know it I always wake up early, on Saturdays, lol.

    1. Man, did it ever fly by. We were blasted again with another hurricane here at the Jersey Shore. This one was called "Nemo". My kids wanted to know who picked that stupid name- (me too) And even though we were snowed in, we still managed to have a great weekend.

  18. Hey, well done on the Bloghop win! I can so identify with crap weeks. Got two out of the way, and this one started with a major unexpected expense, but we won't go there.

Think positive, you can borrow my mantra the week, repeat after me... 'something good is going to happen today' say it over and over all day long, when you feel a little negativity loming, and smile at everyone.

If nothing else it will confuse everyone. Have a good week, and hop over and let me know how you get on. ;-)

    1. Thanks so much Maria- I appreciate the support. Things are bound to look up this week- I'm all about the positive mantras!! I always try to always look on the bright side. Last week, it was just harder than usual for me to find it.
