Now, really, about me: I bring the crazy wherever I go, so I've been told...I make fun of myself more than anyone else ever could. I hate: the awkward silence in elevators, watches with no numbers, picky eaters, Cancer and legalism. I love: coffee, stalking Hugh Jackman, my Spanx, COMMENTS, sarcasm and writing: Middle Grade, NA, YA Paranormal and Urban Fantasy.

So, I LIED....
I know I promised you all I would post a "short story" based on the decaying splendor of Carleton Manor recently, but I lied. I didn't mean to deceive you, I really, truly planned on writing a short story. Except...when I started to write the first few pages I realized I couldn't stop. As usual, I'm incapable of either telling or writing a short story.
When I started this project, I really did have every intention of throwing a quick couple of pages together and being done with it, since I'm in the middle of a lot of other super important work right now. (Like getting my "final" editing done on "Breaking Cardinale Rules" so I can send it out. Which, if I ever want to become a published author, is kind of, yeah, like crucial...!!) However, it became quite clear to me after the first few pages, I wasn't anywhere near done. So, I decided, ok, I'll just make it into a novella. Good idea, right? But...after it became a novella, I realized I still wasn't done. I had to face the truth. And the truth of the matter is I no longer had a short story or novella on my hands, I had a full blown novel.
Don't hate on me, ok? It's just that I fell in LOVE with these characters and didn't want to stop hanging out with them. Please understand that if I don't tell their story, they will haunt my thoughts and consume my mind every single day until I do.So, please excuse me for being a crazy girl with fictitious people and plots in my head that rule my life until I fully release them onto paper... and watch closely for the first chapter of "The Manor" to be posted in the very near future...
